A Portrait is …………….. a reflection of the subject.
We believe that in order to capture a portrait that will be a true representation of the subject, we must get to know you. We need to know your personality, your preferences, your strengths and weaknesses. We know that everyone is different and that not all poses, backgrounds or colors will be flattering to every subject. We will begin by analyzing each subject, their accessories and preferences to design their session for the most pleasing portrait. We must establish a relationship with each person so that they will show the most relaxed, natural expressions. A portrait is not a snap shot or map of someone’s face or the clothes they are wearing. It is the correct use of lighting, cameras and lenses and the best choice of backgrounds and poses combined to capture an image that will show the subject at their best that will be cherished by the family for generations.
